Recent alum Ian Hillenbrand, professors Mike Williams and Haiying Gao, along with PhD student Cong Li, have just published a paper in Earth and Planetary Science Letters proposing that a Bolivian Altiplano-style orogenic plateau existied in New England during the Paleozoic after the Neoacadian orogeny.
