I forgot to mention that when I was in Tokyo I met a young woman working on the Dome Fuji ice core. her name was Dr. Kumiko Azuma . She has recently completed a spell in the US an her english is very good. You can contact her through the D-G of NIPR, Prof Y. Fujii (fujii@nipr.ac.jp).

As far as China is concerned I suggest you yourself write to Prof Z.Zhang, D-G of PRIC, to ask for the contact details of the head of his Dome A drilling project. If you are willing to consider him as a candidate you will need to know how good his english is; Zhang can tell you that.
